Animation Insider interview ~ Entrevista :)

I'm happy to share with you an interview I did with Animation Insider! It was fun and I feel so honoured! A big thank you to Mike Milo and the Team!

Fotogramas de un ritual descalzo ~ Frames of a barefoot ritual

El tema para esta edición era "Danza & Cine", y mi obra, "Fotogramas de un Ritual Descalzo", fue el resultado de considerar la danza como una manifestación externa del ser interior... La danza vuelve visible lo invisible. Pensé también en el tiempo como duración y en cómo el cine rompe en instantes los segundos para comprenderlos (inspirada en Bergson).

The theme for this issue was "Dance & Cinema", and my work, "Frames of a Barefoot Ritual", was the result of thinking of dance as an external manifestation of the internal being... Dance makes visible the invisible. I also considered time as duration and reflected upon cinema and its ability to break seconds into pieces so that time can be understood (this, inspired in Bergson).

Danza & Cine !!! ~ Dance & Cinema !!!

I had the opportunity of working on the next issue of the Argentinian Dance Magazine: "Danzar Mundos". It was a fantastic experience, and I'll be sharing with you bits and pieces of the process. Congratulations to Vanessa Menalli and her wonderful team in getting this powerful project out there!

Tuve la oportunidad de trabajar en la siguiente edición de la revista argentina "Danzar Mundos". Fue una experiencia fantástica y estaré compartiéndoles retazos del proceso de creación de las imágenes. Felicitaciones a Vanessa Menalli y a todo el equipo por inspirarnos con este proyecto tan importante!

Egg: Making ~ Proceso

Este es el proceso de creación de la imagen de los renacuajitos :) 

Traté de pensar en tonalidades, paleta de colores y composición para ayudar a que el ojo recorra la imagen completamente. Si haces click sobre ellas las puedes ver mejor.

This is how the image of the tadpoles was achieved :) 

I tried to consider tonal values, colour palette and composition so the viewer's eye can follow the image completely. If you click on the pictures you'll be able to see them better.

Lately, whenever I have some spare time from my animated project I try to create images that evoke stories and generate questions in the viewer, while practicing as much as I can with digital painting :)

Me encantan estos renacuajitos!
Ultimamente, cuando tengo un tiempito extra fuera de mi proyecto animado, trato de crear imágenes que evoquen historias y generen preguntas en el espectador, mientras practico con pintura digital todo lo que puedo :)
