Sketch done while attending a religious ceremony celebrated at the same time as a high school graduation. The limits of power and superiority between students and teachers were strictly demarcated. It made me think of the difference between fear and respect, and of how often can there be an explicit and authentic form of love when your own freedom and self-expression is so elegantly controlled.

Boceto realizado mientras asistía una ceremonia religiosa y una de graduación celebradas en conjunto. Los límites de superioridad y de poder entre profesores y estudiantes estaban estrictamente demarcados. Me hizo pensar en la diferencia entre el miedo y el respeto, y en qué tan seguido puede existir una forma explícita y auténtica de amor cuando la propia libertad y expresión personal están tan elegantemente controladas.
